Beef Steak Marinade

Ingredients : 

  • Beef Steaks cut to your ideal thickness

  • Magi Liquid Seasoning 

  • Sweet Paprika 

  • Hoyts Italian mixed herbs


Ingredients  :

  • 1 cup Beef Stock

  • Pan juices

  • 1/2 cup Red Wine

  • 2 1/2 tablespoons Plain Flour

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of butter


  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 170°C/180°C . Lightly grease roasting pan. Place lamb in pan.

  • Step 2

    Place all your steaks on grease proof paper facing the same way up.

  • Step 3

    Drizzle Magi Seasoning over the top of each steak and rub into the meat.

  • Step 4

    Sprinkle Sweet Paprika over each of the steaks and rub into the surface.

  • Step 5
    Sprinkle Mixed Italian herbs over the top of steaks and pat down to press them into the surface.

  • Step 6
    Flip your Steaks over and repeat steps 3-5

  • Step 7
    Seal steaks on both sides and transfer them onto an oven tray lined wit baking paper, cooking in the oven until they are cooked to your liking , remove and allow to rest for 5 mins before plating.


Gravy Method:
  • Step 1
    While the steaks are cooking / resting collect the pan juices and add to the beef stock / wine and reduce in a small / medium pan over a medium heat.
  • Step 2
    add the butter and flour together to form a rue rubbing them into a "paste".
  • Step 3 
    Combine the "Rue" with the pan juices , stock and wine whilst whisking constantly and keeping the mixture on a medium / high heat until it has reached your preferred consistency.
  • Step 4
    Enjoy on your steaks and with your choice of sides.
